Let's go fly a kite......

Beautiful weather equals a happy family! I can't tell you how much I have needed warm weather! I'm not talking weather in the 60's either, I'm talking temps in the 80's! That is the perfect temperature for me. I was able to experience two days of it when we went to Cali but other then that it's been a very long time. We decided to enjoy the beautiful weekend as much as we could since it's now overcast and raining and expected to be this was for the next two weeks :( Summer will be here soon though....I hope!
We drove down to the Delaware State park on Saturday and decided to fly Ella's princess kite that she recieved in her Easter basket. The weather was perfect kite flying weather and thankfully Daddy knows how to fly a kite because I never have had much luck. The state park is really beautiful and we are fortunate to live very close to it.

Nana and Auntie Alyssa's visit

We have had a super fun week with Nana and Auntie Alyssa! It of course ended way to quickly and they are packed and ready to leave early tomorrow morning :( Ella has been on cloud nine all week with all the extra attention she has been getting. I have a feeling she's going to have a hard day tomorrow when she wakes up and realizes they are gone. I also think she might be expecting a present from us every morning now :) We had fun shopping, and eating lots of Graeters ice cream and the kids had fun being spoiled. Alyssa is currently looking for a job out here and then is planning on moving here at the end of the month! It will be so nice to have more family close by. We are just continuing to pray that God would open a job up for her.

Last night with Nana

Easter

We had a great Easter! We stayed pretty busy all weekend with cookie and egg decorating, two Easter egg hunts, and most importantly worshiping our Risen King with our church family!

Friday night we had fun decorating cookies together. I got out my cookie decorating kit and my food coloring so we had some beautiful and colorful cookies :)

Saturday we got to work on Easter egg decorating. I haven't decorated eggs in a long time so I forgot what a mess that is. My cuticles and finger nails were a beautiful green color on Easter :) I ended up doing most of the work on that project since Ella lost interest after a few eggs. She did have her cousins all over so I think she was a little distracted. Saturday night we were invited over to Kurt's grandparents house and enjoyed some good food and an Easter egg hunt. Although the sun was out and shining it was still pretty cold! Ella had to borrow a scarf and hat to keep her warm while she was searching for eggs. She looked pretty funny in her big John Deer hat though.

We gave Ella her Easter basket On Sunday morning. She was and still is very excited about all of her candy!

After church we laid the kids down for naps and hid eggs in our backyard. When they woke up we gave Micah his basket and then searched for eggs. Ella was very excited to find all the eggs, and with the help of daddy she did! Micah was more excited about just shaking the jelly bean filled eggs.
