A busy Birthday weekend!

Last weekend was very busy for us! It also happened to be the weekened before my birthday so it was a good excuse to go have some fun! It was space week in Delaware and to end it the Central Ohio Symphony had a concert where they performed space themed music. We were most excited about the Star Wars music since Ella often hums it throughout the house :) Along with the concert there was a group of people who dressed up like Star Wars characters, so it was fun to meet Darth Vader! We dressed the kids up in their Star Wars costumes so they fit right in! I was excited to get some more use out of them. Ella did great sitting through the whole concert! Micah on the other hand........
When they started playing the Star Wars theme Ella got super excited and kept saying "Daddy! Daddy! Star Wars!!!"
What can I say, her mommy and daddy are a little nerdy ;)
Sunday we took Ella Bella to Disney on Ice in Columbus. We dressed her up in her Cinderella dress that Nana and Grandpa got for her. She was so excited about going and kept talking about "Disneyland On Ice!" The show was really cool and Ella sat through the whole thing with a big smile on her face. My sister watched Micah for us so we were able to have a fun night with our little princess. Afterward we treated her to a milkshake, a perfect end to the perfect night!

California

I'm finally posting some pictures from our recent trip to California. I post a lot of my pictures on facebook so sometimes it just seems repetitive to post them on my blog as well. I know that not everyone has facebook so I'm going to start trying to post a majority of my pictures on here since I use this sort of as an online journal.

Anyways, we had a wonderful time in Cali! I was able to go to one of my all time favorite places, Disneyland! Ella is at the age now where she was really into everything, so it was so fun to see her reactions. She was able to meet her favorite princesses and Mickey and Minnie. The weather was in the 80's the first two days we went but then rained on our last day. We stayed at an amazing condo in Oceanside that had an ocean view. It was so wonderful to wake up in the morning and drink my coffee outside watching the waves crash on the beach! Beautiful! We were able to relax, go to the beach, and visit friends and family. We never seem to have enough time to do everything we want but we felt we were able to do most of it. Ella hasn't been out in almost a year so it was fun see her reunite with cousins, and rediscover the ocean :) She LOVED the beach and pretty much wanted to go there everyday. She also loved standing on our balcony and just looking at it. I guess you can take a girl out of Cali but you can't take the Cali out of a girl :)

Spring?!?!?

I'm not getting my hopes up too high that winter is finished but I am taking advantage of any days the temperature goes above 50! I can't tell you how nice it feels to walk outside and not have my face freeze off! Though it would be nice to have sunshine along with the nice weather I will take what I can get :)
I went with my sister today to Mingo Park. We walked there since it's not too far from my house. Ella had fun and is finally starting to be big enough to play on everything! It was so nice to get fresh air, exercise, and let the kids run around.

8 months!

Wow, I'm way behind on my blog!!!! I just got back from a wonderful vacation to California so I will make sure and update all about that soon (I have over a thousand pictures to sort through!), but for now here are some 8 month pictures of Micah looking oh so cute in his sweater :)

7 months! (very late)

I'm finally posting some 7 month pictures of Micah. With the holidays, family visiting, and potty training Ella, things have been crazy around here! I haven't had much time to blog anything =(

So....Micah is almost 8 months! He is getting soooo close to crawling. He gets up on all fours and does the whole rock back and forth thing so I know he is trying. The other day he pretty much "scooted" himself across the living room in an attempt at grabbing Ella's sippy cup so I'm not sure if that counts as crawling? He also just got his top two teeth so he now has 4 little chompers!

We have finally gotten some snow this winter. We took Ella out to play since she is the only person in our family that actually likes the stuff =) My mom bought her a pair of snow boots when she was out and Ella wants to wear those things everyday! You can imagine her excitement when we told her she could FINALLY wear them and in the SNOW! She had a blast outside playing and did not want to come in even though she was an ice cube. I think the California girl in her is officially gone, she is a mid westerner now!
