Trick or Treat

We took Ella trick or treating last Saturday in Radnor. Out here the smaller towns do their trick or treating on different nights so that they actually get trick or treaters. Ella was a strawberry fairy and she looked really cute! She had fun sitting in the wagon with her cousin Kason. Ella got lots of candy! We are going again on Halloween.

Fall is finally here!

Fall has finally come! Ohio is so incredibly beautiful right now! The leaves are all starting to turn and the weather is starting to cool down. Fall is something we never really experienced in California, out here everyone seems to celebrate fall. The porches are all decorated with pumpkins and wreathes and there are signs for hay rides and pumpkin patches everywhere. There are so many fun places to go that I can see why fall seems to be the favorite season out here. There is something really special about sitting on the porch drinking hot apple cider watching the leaves fall.
I went with my sister and my mom to a pumpkin patch the other day to pick out pumpkins with the kids. I got some really cute pictures of Ella having fun picking out her pumpkins =) After we went for a hike at the Delaware State park and took some cute fall pictures of Ella in the leaves. It was a really beautiful day and I'm glad we were able to be outside enjoying it!

O-H-I-O

Paul and I went to an Ohio State game today. It was my first game and Paul's second. It was a lot of fun. Ohio killed Kent State, so it was fun watching OSU score a lot of touchdowns. The marching band was awesome, and we even got to stand right next to Brutus the Buckeye (the mascot)! It was a pretty exciting day! Ella got to spend the day with Grandma and Papa, and her cousins.

Grandma bought Ella her first pair of slippers today at Target. She looked so cute with them on! It's starting to get chilly so we thought she should have some slippers to keep her little toes warm =)

Hot Fall!

We are having record breaking heat right now in Ohio! Yesterday it was in the 90's! It's strange because the leaves are changing for fall yet it's still summer weather. The pools have all closed down so there isn't too much to do to cool down. I took Ella on a ride yesterday in her push car so she could enjoy her last days of being outside without a jacket. It's supposed to cool down by this weekend.

Ella's 1 year check up

Ella went to the Dr. today for her 1 year exam. She weighs 19 pounds 1 ounce, and she is 30 1/4 inches long! The Dr. said that she is now in the 25th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. She checked Ella from head to toe and said she looked great! I'm so happy that Ella is finally moving up on the weight scale. She was in the fifth percentile at her 9 month exam. Ella didn't like being examimed too much, it didn't help that it was also her naptime. She did pretty good considering though, she would cry now and then but Dr. Spellman was able to make her laugh when she would tickle her. Ella also loved having Grandma there to make her feel better.
