38 Weeks

Well, baby Giorgi decided to wait until after Christmas, hooray! It's starting to look like he/she is going to wait until 2011 too. I have never gone past 38 weeks before which makes me think this time I will. I'm trying to prepare myself for the likelihood I could go all the way to my due date and beyond. This belly shot basically sums up how I'm feeling these days. I only want to wear comfy pants and I hate having to put on jeans and layers (which is a must when you live in Ohio during winter) My back and ribs ache constantly and I am maybe getting a few hours of solid sleep a night. I'm definitely ready to be done but I trust in God's timing and know it's perfect :) I'm eager to meet this little one who's kicking my ribs and who sometimes kicks my side so hard I think their little foot is going to pop out ;) Praying these next weeks go quickly and that we will be holding our baby soon!

Christmas 2010

We had a nice low key Christmas this year. We enjoyed a candle light Christmas Eve service and then had fun decorating cookies when we got home. The kids (especially Ella) were bouncing off the wall with excitement. I have been so anxious for them to open their presents since I bought them in November so I might have been just as excited as they were ;) We spent Christmas relaxing as a family, playing with toys, and eating yummy food. I made stuffed french toast for breakfast and for lunch/dinner cooked my first ham! We also had mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and yams....mmmmm...all my favorite foods. We were able to skype with my grandparents and the kids got to talk with Grandma and Papa. I'm SO thankful for skype! It's so nice when we are so far away to still be able to see and talk with family on Christmas. It definitely helps cure the loneliness when you live thousands of miles away from everyone. Thank you to all who called us on Christmas, it really meant the world to us :) Thank you most of all to Jesus Christ, our savior, and the reason we celebrate!

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

37 Weeks

Only a few short weeks away! The sleepless nights have begun and I'm assuming will continue on for awhile ;) I'm ready to be done but I'm hoping the baby waits until after Christmas. I'm thankful that I can stay busy with Christmas things and cookie baking so I don't feel like we are just "waiting." We can't wait to meet this little one though!!!

Christmas goodies!

We have spent the week keeping busy by baking goodies in the kitchen. Ella loves to help out in the kitchen and has been asking me daily if we could make gingerbread cookies. So far we have baked three different types of cookies and have two more to make including our cookies for Santa. Tonight we had fun decorating a gingerbread house. It was a first for all of us but so much fun and not as messy as I was anticipating :)

Winter is here

It's starting to look a lot more like winter around here. We have had a few light snowfalls and the temperatures continue to drop. It would be fun to have a white Christmas this year but after that it can all melt ;) Ella has been dying to go out and play in the snow (even though it's not much) so I finally took them out this morning. I'm thankful that about ten minutes sufficed for her and we could come back in and warm up with some hot chocolate :)

Numbers.....

That seems to be all that's going through my head these days...

12-Number of days I have to get everything ready for home visit with midwives which basically means I need everything ready for delivery

16-Number of days to when I'm considered "full term" and can have my baby at home. If I go into labor before that I will deliver at a hospital

23- days until Christmas!

3- more people to buy Christmas gifts for and the number of Christmas events we have on our calender for the next few weeks

10-number of things on my list I need to get done by the 13th when I have my home visit but the list will probably grow bigger.

29- the temperature outside right now although it feels more like 20 degrees :( Supposed to be very cold the next week which makes for running errands really fun!

34-weeks pregnant!
