38 Weeks

Well, baby Giorgi decided to wait until after Christmas, hooray! It's starting to look like he/she is going to wait until 2011 too. I have never gone past 38 weeks before which makes me think this time I will. I'm trying to prepare myself for the likelihood I could go all the way to my due date and beyond. This belly shot basically sums up how I'm feeling these days. I only want to wear comfy pants and I hate having to put on jeans and layers (which is a must when you live in Ohio during winter) My back and ribs ache constantly and I am maybe getting a few hours of solid sleep a night. I'm definitely ready to be done but I trust in God's timing and know it's perfect :) I'm eager to meet this little one who's kicking my ribs and who sometimes kicks my side so hard I think their little foot is going to pop out ;) Praying these next weeks go quickly and that we will be holding our baby soon!

Christmas 2010

We had a nice low key Christmas this year. We enjoyed a candle light Christmas Eve service and then had fun decorating cookies when we got home. The kids (especially Ella) were bouncing off the wall with excitement. I have been so anxious for them to open their presents since I bought them in November so I might have been just as excited as they were ;) We spent Christmas relaxing as a family, playing with toys, and eating yummy food. I made stuffed french toast for breakfast and for lunch/dinner cooked my first ham! We also had mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and yams....mmmmm...all my favorite foods. We were able to skype with my grandparents and the kids got to talk with Grandma and Papa. I'm SO thankful for skype! It's so nice when we are so far away to still be able to see and talk with family on Christmas. It definitely helps cure the loneliness when you live thousands of miles away from everyone. Thank you to all who called us on Christmas, it really meant the world to us :) Thank you most of all to Jesus Christ, our savior, and the reason we celebrate!

"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14

37 Weeks

Only a few short weeks away! The sleepless nights have begun and I'm assuming will continue on for awhile ;) I'm ready to be done but I'm hoping the baby waits until after Christmas. I'm thankful that I can stay busy with Christmas things and cookie baking so I don't feel like we are just "waiting." We can't wait to meet this little one though!!!

Christmas goodies!

We have spent the week keeping busy by baking goodies in the kitchen. Ella loves to help out in the kitchen and has been asking me daily if we could make gingerbread cookies. So far we have baked three different types of cookies and have two more to make including our cookies for Santa. Tonight we had fun decorating a gingerbread house. It was a first for all of us but so much fun and not as messy as I was anticipating :)

Winter is here

It's starting to look a lot more like winter around here. We have had a few light snowfalls and the temperatures continue to drop. It would be fun to have a white Christmas this year but after that it can all melt ;) Ella has been dying to go out and play in the snow (even though it's not much) so I finally took them out this morning. I'm thankful that about ten minutes sufficed for her and we could come back in and warm up with some hot chocolate :)

Numbers.....

That seems to be all that's going through my head these days...

12-Number of days I have to get everything ready for home visit with midwives which basically means I need everything ready for delivery

16-Number of days to when I'm considered "full term" and can have my baby at home. If I go into labor before that I will deliver at a hospital

23- days until Christmas!

3- more people to buy Christmas gifts for and the number of Christmas events we have on our calender for the next few weeks

10-number of things on my list I need to get done by the 13th when I have my home visit but the list will probably grow bigger.

29- the temperature outside right now although it feels more like 20 degrees :( Supposed to be very cold the next week which makes for running errands really fun!

34-weeks pregnant!

Disneyland Vacation

We just got back from an amazing Disney vacation. The weather was absolutely perfect, the kids were great and I got my Disneyland fix! Disneyland is one of my absolute favorite places, it really is "the happiest place on earth" and I was excited to take the kids when it was decorated for Christmas. The last time we were there during the holidays was when Paul and I were newlyweds and we had annual passes and no kids ;) I wish I could say the trip was perfect right up until the end but things unraveled at the very end when we got dropped off at our car at 10:30 at night in the freezing cold to discover our battery was dead. Paul had left the keys in the car and only had the keyless entry (which was useless with a dead battery). I had to hop back on the bus to the airport with the kids and go rent a car which proved to be another debacle. Apparently when it's late at night and you are a women with two small (sick) children desperate to get home the rental car places decide to charge you an excessive amount for an economy car. we rent cars quite often and I was well aware that I was completely being taken advantage of. It's nice to know there are still nice people in this world that want to help people out when they are in a bad situation, right? ;) So, I drove away with a Ford Focus that I was charged three times more for and picked up my frozen husband in the parking lot who was working with the maintenance guy to get in the car and we drove home. I should mention that a double stroller, a suitcase, two car seats, and two adults do not fit comfortably in a focus. We pulled into our home around 1 a.m and waited in the car while Paul had to break into our house since we had no keys...what an adventure! Thankfully when Paul went to return the car the next day he spoke with the manager who was nice enough to refund us a large chunk of our money. Now we are all trying to get better from this nasty gunk we must have picked up during the travels. Ella has been puking all morning, Micah is coughing every two seconds and I'm taking care of them while also dealing with the nasty symptoms, ugh!
~Thankful for a wonderful much needed trip together and that none of us got sick at the start of it.
~Thankful that we got to spend some precious time with Paul's family!
~Thankful that God gave this 32 week pregnant lady strength and energy for three days of Disneyland! I felt great the whole time!

I put together a slide show of our trip since I had sixty pics and couldn't pick out just a few to post. The kids keep watching this over and over again.

This is an outake from our Christmas card picture. Micah's face is priceless though and perfectly captures his personality.

Fall Cuties

Every year I take the kids to our state park to look at all the pretty fall leaves. We had a pretty warm October so it was nice to be able to play outside in all the fall beauty without freezing. I'm very thankful for the extra month of warm beautiful weather because I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I don't like the cold! ;)

30 weeks!

I just realized the other day that I'm already 30 weeks pregnant! I guess that's what happens when it's baby number three ;) I really do feel like there is SO much to do and SO little time! This little baby will be here before we know it so I better get moving! :)

Happy Halloween!

We had the best Halloween! The kids are at the perfect ages where we were able to have a lot of fun with them. We carved pumpkins, decorated pumpkin cookies, and watched "It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown. On Saturday night we went trick or treating in a small town close by and we trick or treated in our town on Sunday night. Ella was literally bouncing off the walls! I have never seen her so hyper! Micah was super cute and would walk up and say "twick o tweat" and then "Thank you, see you in the morning" :) Their costumes were awesome! My mom made Ella's Dorothy dress a few years ago for my niece and she made Micah's oompa loompa pants for him this year. I did all the finishing touches which wasn't too bad once I found a brown turtleneck (thank goodness for lands end!) Micah's costume was a huge hit! He looked SO stinkin cute! It all stemmed from him always running around the house singing the oompa loompa song ever since he watched the movie. I knew then that he had to dress up like one for Halloween.

(we had a green wig for Micah but he wouldn't wear it so for night two we bought green hair spray for his hair, hence the two different colors of hair)

2 Months in a nutshell.......

It's been a crazy past two months! So many things have happened so many pictures have been taken but I of course fell behind :( I'm going to try and catch up as best I can.

First off, Ella turned 4! She had her first friends party which was a "Hello Kitty" theme. It was planned to be outside but since the weather called for rain we didn't want to take any chances. Ella had a great time and I had a ton of fun planning the party. I'm glad we only do big parties every other year ;)

Next up we had fair week! We look forward to this week all year. Ella competed in the tractor pull competition again and this year made it half way down!

The kids had a blast riding all the rides. Micah and Ella were able to ride together this year which made it a lot of fun!

I worked at a pumpkin patch with my sister every weekend most of October. So when I had a day off we decided to take the kids since it was still early in the season before the masses start to come. It was a perfect day for it and the kids loved it.
