It's a..........

Baby! We had our ultrasound this morning and were able to see our little one. The baby is measuring right on track and everything looked good. The radiologist will still have to look at the images but the tech didn't seem to think anything looked out of the ordinary. It was so exciting to see our baby! He/She was moving around a lot so she had a hard time getting the pictures she needed. It was precious, the baby was yawning and waving its arms at us. Ella kept pointing to the monitor and saying "baby!" We held out and didn't find out the gender, which was hard! I know it will be worth the wait though and we are happy and thankful we have a healthy baby.

Galaxy Games

Today I took Ella to galaxy games in Columbus with my MOPS group. I have been going to MOPS for a while now and really love it! If you are not sure what MOPS is click on the link I have under favorite places.
Galaxy games has a huge play area, think McDonald's times 50. Ella had so much fun running around. She went in a ball pit for the first time which took some warming up to, she didn't like it at first but then started to have fun after mommy got in it with her. After, we went to lunch at Wendy's and then headed home. Ella must have really wore herself out because she was asleep five minutes into our drive home.

A little update

I haven't posted in a week so I thought I would write a little bit about what we have been up to. Last week consisted of me having the flu (again!) and Paul and I looking at a few possible places to live.
I got the flu on Monday which makes this the second time this year. Of course it hit me on the day my parents left and when Paul was working a 12 hour day. Fortunately, it was a 24 hr. bug and I felt much better the next day but Monday was tough! Ella and Paul never got it which makes me more certain that I have a horrible immune system. If a deadly virus were to ever hit, I know I would be one of the first to go.
We started looking for a new place to live last week and even went to a few places and took tours. We are starting to run out of room at our current place and with the baby coming I don't know how to make us all fit. I really don't want to have to put Ella and the baby in the same room just because I don't want them to wake each other up. If we just had one extra room in this house like a dining room or a small tiny office we could make it work. I found a great place that we loved but of course it's just out of our budget. We pay such cheap rent here that it's going to be hard to find something affordable that isn't scary. We found another place that was nice and cheaper but there is a train literally in our back yard. So if we could get used to our house shaking every time the train goes by it might work. We have plenty of time to figure everything out so we will just keep checking and hopefully a perfect place will come our way or we can win the lottery =) We just keep praying for wisdom and patience. I know God will provide for us, even if it means staying here and getting rid of some things.

Kaden's 5th Birthday Party!

Yesterday we went to my nephew Kaden's shark party. We all had a lot of fun, there was a magician there and really yummy food! Ella's favorite part was when the magician turned a balloon into a real rabbit! She loves animals so as soon as she saw the rabbit she erupted with laughter =) Kaden had a really cool shark cake that all the kids loved. I can't believe he is a big 5 year old now! I'm sure before I know it I will be writing about Ella's 5th birthday =(

My babies!

Today I took Ella in for her 15 month check up. She's actually 16 months so we are a little late. She is getting so big! She weighs 23 pounds 6 ounces and she's 32 inches long. She's in the 50th percentile for weight and the 95th for height! The Dr. was really happy with her growth and said she looked great! She said her muscles in her right leg were still a little weak from her broken leg so that explains why she has taken a while to walk. She had two vaccines and she also had to have some blood drawn from her finger for a lead test. It's recommended to have it done when you live in an older house that could have lead paint and since ours was built in the 1900's the Dr. thought it would be good to check her. Ella did really good for her shots and for her finger prick.

Right before her shots, still happy!

Starting to get scared!

I'm 19 weeks pregnant today! I can't believe I'm almost half way done with my pregnancy! I have been feeling really good and have been feeling the baby move more and more each day. We have our big ultrasound on Jan. 30th and we are very excited to see the baby! We won't be finding out the gender this time unless he/she decides to show us, but I doubt I would be able to make out anything anyways =)

Here is what our baby most likely looks like right now.

The mall, the library, and new snow boots!

I thought I would post some pictures from various adventures we have had this week. We went to the mall yesterday to walk around and I took Ella into the play area for the first time. She had so much fun crawling through a tree trunk, that was pretty much all she wanted to do.

Today we went to the library and I got my first Ohio library card! Ella found a book about babies that she really liked. I'm excited to take Ella to the library, especially when she's older and able to pick out books. It was one of my favorite places to go as a kid. They have a story time for babies up to 24 months that I want to start taking her to, so that should be fun! She really loves when we read to her.

Later I took Ella outside to try out her new princess snow boots! Ella really enjoys the snow (at least one of us does) She loves watching her boots light up when she walks.

Is it really January?

Yesterday we had record breaking high temps here in Ohio. It was in the 60's yesterday and it felt wonderful! People were out with shorts on and there were motorcycles out. It's supposed to start getting cold again by the end of the week so we wanted to enjoy the day as much as possible. We took Ella on a walk since she hasn't been outside in a while. She had so much fun and kept laughing and squealing at all the squirrels she saw.

All of Ella's cheering still couldn't save Ohio State from getting beat =(

Ella's first trip to the salon

We took Ella to get her first haircut today. She was starting to get a mullet since her hair was growing long in just the back =) We took her to a kids hair cutting place called Cookie Cutters. It was a quick hair cut since she doesn't have a ton of hair. She was able to watch Baby Einstein while she was sitting in her little car chair so she did pretty good. Her hair looks soooo adorable now! She has a cute little bob. I didn't think getting her hair cut would make that much of a difference but it really made her hair look thicker, and she looks older too. I love it! They gave us a little certificate with a Polaroid picture and put some of her hair in a little bag for us. We took her to the mall after so she could show off her cute new hairstyle =)
