Our Baby Boy

I'm back from the hospital and thought I would post some pictures of our precious little boy! I'm feeling really good and had a very smooth delivery. I didn't even think I was in actual labor and was hesitant about going to the hospital. I started having contractions the day before and they were progressively getting worse but they were so sporadic that I assumed it couldn't be labor. We watched the Lost finale and when it finished at 11:00 I was starting to have really painful contractions back to back so I thought I would lay down. After about 10 minutes I thought we better go to the hospital and just see if I was progressing since I was in so much pain. We drove Ella to my sisters and then went to the hospital. We checked in at 11:50 p.m and when the nurse checked me she told me I was completely dilated! Micah was born at 12:23 a.m! I guess if we would have waited any longer I would have had a home birth =)
Micah has been such a good baby so far, besides spraying daddy a few times during diaper changes =) Ella seems to like her baby brother so far and loves to give him kisses. He is such a sweet baby and I'm trying to savor every moment with him because I know before I know it he will be running around. God has blessed our lives so much with this new addition!

It's a boy!!!

Hey, it's Paul. I know Andrea usually writes these things but I just wanted to let everyone know real quick that early this morning at 12:23AM Micah Thomas Giorgi was born. Micah weighed 7lbs 2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long. I'm sure Andrea will post another blog later today but I just wanted to let everyone know that he's here and both Andrea and Micah are doing great!

Week 38

Well I'm obviously still pregnant! This baby must really like it inside mommy's belly! I went in for my appointment today and there is no real change. The baby's head is really low so maybe some more power walking will do the trick =) I will keep you all posted!

Memorial Day Parade

We went to the memorial parade in Radnor this morning. Ella loved it and kept saying "more, more!" after each float passed. She was really cute waving her American flag at everybody.

Happy Friday!

No baby yet! We are still waiting patiently for this little one to make an arrival. I have been trying to savor my time with Ella because I know I'm going to really miss her when I'm in the hospital, and after when I'm adjusting to having a newborn again. I realize this is the last time I will ever be a mommy to just one and I'm trying to cherish my time with her. I know the baby will come in God's perfect timing! I'm actually going out for a pedicure and a manicure with my sister tonight so I'm very excited! I had a massage last week which was a Christmas gift from Paul so I'm thinking maybe being pregnant isn't so bad ;) Have a great weekend!

Here is a video I took with my phone at lunch today of Ella showing us her "happy" and "sad" face

Week 37

I had my ultrasound yesterday and the baby is measuring at 6 pounds 8 ounces. I had to look away for most of the ultrasound so I didn't see anything but the technician did show us all the baby's hair! I guess that is why I have been having such horrible heartburn =) The Dr. checked me and said I was now 3 centimeters dilated and almost 100 percent effaced! The Dr. thought I would be having this baby within the week and thought it would be very unlikely I would go to my due date. I'm still trying to not get my hopes up too much since I know women who have been dilated and effaced for a few weeks before going in to labor. Hopefully it will be soon! I'm so anxious to meet this baby! Paul is gone today in Pittsburgh which is 3 hours away so hopefully if I do go in to labor he can make it back ;)

Fun with Great Grandpa and Grandma Giorgi!

We had a fun today in Springfield, Ohio where we met up with Paul's grandparents who were out for an antique auction. They drove out to Indiana from California and since Indiana isn't too far from us we decided to meet up. We spent most of the day at a big flea market walking around and looking at antiques. I think Ella had fun seeing everything because she was pretty quiet all day in her stroller. We had a great time, and always enjoy being able to visit with family since we don't get to see them too often. They are coming back out in September so we are looking forward to meeting up with them again and having them meet their new great grandbaby!

Ella was pretty tired after looking at antiques all day =)

9 months pregnant, 28 days (hopefully less) to go!

I am 9 months pregnant today! I had my Dr. apointment this morning and she checked me and said I was 2 centimeters dilated. I never got checked with Ella until I was in actual labor so I have no idea if that means the baby is coming soon or if I will be dilated 2 centimeters for a month. I'm hoping it means labor will be soon because I'm officially uncomfortable! I have constant heartburn, my back hurts, the baby is so cramped in my belly that I'm having a hard time breathing, and I can't walk a few steps without having a Braxton hicks contraction. The Dr. said I was measuring really small so she scheduled me for an ultrasound for next week to get a measurement of the baby. She thinks the baby is about 5 pounds right now. I always was small with Ella though and she was 7 pounds 8 ounces!
So hopefully I don't go into labor since Paul is gone in Chicago until tomorrow night and we are meeting his grandparents Sunday in Springfield which is an hour away. I also just ordered the baby's car seat so it would be nice to have that too by the time I go into labor so we can take him/her home =) I will keep you posted!

By the way, today is our blogs first birthday! =)

Mother's Day Weekend

What a great weekend! I was able to spend Saturday going to garage sales and working in our yard planting flowers. We barbecued some tri-tip later in the day that was delicious! On Sunday I had breakfast, coffee and a present waiting for me when I got out of the shower from my sweet husband. I even got a card from Ella! We went to a Mother's Day brunch on Sunday in Columbus that resulted in us being sent down to the basement because of a tornado warning-fun! Overall, it was a perfect weekend and I enjoyed spending time with my family. I love being able to spend time playing outside with Paul and Ella and I can't imagine a better way to spend a Mother's Day =)

I just wanted to share these funny pics I took of Ella and Kason today at the grocery store. They have so much fun together and Ella is always trying to be like her older cousin =)

By request

I have had requests from Ella's Grandma and Papa for more videos of Ella. Here are two short videos of Ella jabbering right before going night night.

By the way we found out Paul passed his big test that he recently took! He is now CISSP certified!!!! If you are wondering what in the world that means click on the previous CISSP.

Outside Outside!

Ella has become obsessed with being outside these past few weeks. The first thing after she wakes up, "Outside, Outside!" When it's pouring rain,"Outside, Outside!" When she has her jammies on and we are putting her to bed "Outside, Outside!"
