We went to a birthday party this afternoon for Caleb and Emma, twins from church who turned five. It was a farm theme so we dressed Ella up in some cowgirl clothes. They had a hay ride in the backyard that Ella didn't like too much at first but by her second ride she was having fun.

A week in the sun
We just got back from spending a week in warm sunny California. We surprised Paul's parents and showed up at their door last Tuesday. We had Ella knock on the door while we hid except she knocked and then decided to walk away =)
We had a great week! The weather was perfect! I forgot what sunshine on your skin felt like. We were able to go to the beach, eat In-N-Out, drink Jamba Juice, and spend time with friends and family! I appreciate the central coast so much more since we have moved away. I think I always took for granted how beautiful it is there since I hadn't known anything else. I realize now we lived in one of the most beautiful parts of California! Why did we move again ? ha ha
We of course couldn't do everything and see everyone we wanted since we had a pretty jammed pack schedule. I decided we need a full month to be able to do that =) We still had an amazing time. I know that the more kids we have the less frequently we will be able to visit so we are trying to get out as much as we can now while it's still easy.
Ella had a fun time playing outside. She loved having so many friends to play with between her cousins and our friend's kids. She really loved the beach and wanted to jump in the ocean as soon as we got there. She also had fun at her Great Grandma and Grandpa Giorgi's Easter egg hunt, and brought home lots of goodies. She also had her first taste of linguiƧa there and loved it!
I took so many pictures that the only way to post them all was to make a slide show.

Gotta love Daddy's!
My wonderful husband let me take the afternoon off to relax and read while he played with Ella. When I went to play with them I saw that Ella's pants were put on backwards. I got a really good laugh out of it, especially since her drawstring was in the back. It's one of the many things I love about my husband =)
What? The drawstring goes in the front?

Snowed In part 2
Well, we are now on a level 3 which means if you are caught driving around you will get a ticket. I guess it's safe to say we really are snowed in. I have never seen this much snow! My sister, who has lived here for 11 years now has never seen it snow this much here before. I know most of you who live in warm sunny California probably expect that Ohio is always like this but it's very rare. This whole winter when it snows it's usually just a couple inches and then it melts in a few days. It's supposed to continue to snow until this evening! We have well over a foot of snow as of right now so we will have to see what it's like tonight.

Snowed In
We are currently on a level 2 snow warning and a blizzard warning! A level 2 warning means you should only leave the house if absolutely necessary. I think pretty much everything is closed down and I haven't heard any cars outside besides the occasional snow plow. We are getting a whole bunch more snow tomorrow and it's supposed to be even worse than today =( This is the worst storm we have had this winter and hopefully the last. Our warm weather was short lived! I'm suffering from extreme cabin fever right now! It looks like we are going to be snowed in all weekend, ugh!

Hiking at the Delaware State Park
It was 58 degrees today! I know that is probably still cold for most people but for us it was a welcomed temperature increase. It's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow!! I really hope this means spring is coming because I can't take much more of the cold and gloom of winter. I'm so excited for flip flop season! We went on a little hike at the Delaware State Park today with my parents, my sister and her family. It was so nice to get outside and walk around.

Ella's head started getting cold so she borrowed Auntie Kym's hat, she looked like a ninja =)
