Ella had her first Valentines party yesterday at her preschool. It was supposed to be earlier this week but due to ANOTHER snow storm, school was canceled :( I found this cute template here for lollipop lilly valentines, and decided to make them for her class. Ella was super excited to take these to her friends:)
She also had her first class picture yesterday! I can't wait to see how they turned out. I'm pretty sure they will be the cutest thing ever! For some reason whenever Ella smiles now she has to tilt her head ;)
The kids got their annual valentines box yesterday from Papa and Grandma. They LOVED it and got lots of fun goodies. I think I might sneak some of the Sees candies for myself ;)
I went in my kitchen a few weeks ago and found this nice surprise waiting for me on the counter. I guess my year and a half of hinting finally paid off ;) Thanks Babe! The Keurig coffee maker pairs nicely with....

I'm currently going through this one year bible reading plan, and LOVING it!
A day of heavy snowfall makes for some fun snow play! We had a blast building snow caves, playing on the sled my sister loaned us (thanks Kym!) and throwing snowballs. I think today might have been the most fun I have ever had in the snow.
It's snowing like crazy right now! If I hadn't been waiting in a super long line at the grocery store yesterday and overheard a lady say that people are stocking up for the big snow, I would have had no idea this was coming. I took the kids to story time this morning at the library and I'm glad we did because that might be our last outing for awhile. I had fun with the kids watching the snow and reading books together. Micah loves to point outside and yell "NO!" :) I'm thankful it's Friday and thankful that I get to be snowed in with my favorite people :)
We woke up the other morning with about an inch of snow on the ground. I thought it would be fun to let the kids go out and play in it for a little bit. I think Ella is starting to turn on her love for snow because after 10 min. she asked if we could go inside ;) I tried making a sled for the kids out of a tote lid and a hula hoop. It was pretty interesting and funny. Maybe we will have to break down and buy an actual sled. We are supposed to get quite a bit of snow tomorrow, so a sled might not be a bad idea!
