Christmas and New Years

We had a great first Christmas as a family in Ohio. My parents and brother came out Christmas Eve so it was so fun to have them all here to celebrate with us. We opened presents Christmas Eve with my sister and her family and then finished off the rest of them Christmas morning. Micah and Ella got soooo many presents it's unbelievable! I think they are set on toys for a long time. We spent Christmas morning with my parents and my brother. We put all the presents under the tree the night before so it was fun to see Ella's face as she came down stairs and discovered a tree full of gifts! Ella was really fun to watch open presents, the best was when she was opening one she said "Oh my word!" (I guess I say that more than I realized)

After we opened presents we enjoyed a delicous breakfast and then relaxed for awhile.

My mom got Ella a"Bitty Baby" made by American Girl. We are going to Chicago for Kylee's birthday in June to the American Girl store and thought it would be fun if Ella had a doll to take.

Ready to do some baking!

My sister and her family came over for a delicous Christmas dinner. My dad's birthday is on Christmas so we also celebrated that. We had fun playing games, dancing to some Johnny Cash music, and eating yummy cheesecake =)

My sister and her kids came over for New Years Eve (Kurt was working) as well. Our theme was a "Frugal New Years" because we used food that we already had in our cupboards. Kym had a bottle of champagne in her fridge from a year ago that we used after googling it to make sure it was still ok =) Everyone stayed the night over here so we had a full house! In the morning we made a delicous breakfast that consisted of eggs, sausage, cinnamin rolls, toast, and fresh fruit!

2008 has been a crazy year for us with many ups and downs. We were blessed with our sweet boy in May who has brought us so much joy! We have had to trust more than ever in God and his provision this year which continues to strengthen us. God has humbled us and showed us that we are not in control of our lives and though sometimes it hurts we pray he continues to teach us this. We look forward to 2009 where we will watch Micah celebrate his first birthday and Ella will be three! We pray we will live our lives for Christ and that all we do would Glorify Him!

I will end with a picture of the cousins in their Christmas outfits. My mom made Kylee and Ella's Christmas dresses and they turned out BEAUTIFUL! She bought the boys all their outfits too so they were matching. The Kaelber/Giorgi's were a big hit at church =)
