Meeting Santa
We took the kids to meet Santa today. I went to go take a picture of Ella sitting on Santa's lap only to discover that I hadn't put the memory card back in, ugh! That seems to always happen to me, you would think I would learn by now! Paul was able to take some pics with his cell phone that will have to suffice until next year. Ella told Santa she wanted a baby doll with a pink blanket and a bottle and a my little pony. We will have to wait and see if he delivers =)

Rice Cereal
Last week we gave Micah rice cereal for the first time. I forgot how much work it is to feed a 6 month old! Micah kept putting his hands in his mouth after every bite so he made quite a mess. My job of spooning food in his mouth quickly became more complicated as I had to also hold his arms down and catch the drooling cereal all at the same time. Ella wanted to try some too so I gave her a small bite and she quickly spit it out =) Micah has been sick the last few days so we have taken a break from cereal since he hasn't had a big appetite. We will start back up when he is feeling better.

Decorating Cookies
Ella decorated Christmas cookies tonight at her cousins house. They were all dressed up in their matching apron and hats that my mom made for them. Ella was more into eating the cookies, frosting, and sprinkles then she was the decorating =)

Happy Friday
I got some really cute pictures of Ella this week that I thought I would share. I could lie and say that my daughter is a natural little supermodel but the truth is I bribed her with fruit snacks (I know! Bribery is bad) It worked though and I got some cute little pictures. She is getting really good at doing her signature pose which consists of her resting her hand on her face and tilting her head. All I have to say is "do your pose"and she goes right to it! She is such a diva =)

Thanksgiving
We had Thanksgiving at our house with just the four of us this year. I decided to attempt to cook my first Thanksgiving meal which was a challenge being as that I have never made a turkey or any other thanksgiving foods before. I figured if I messed everything up we could find some restaurant that was open right? Fortunately everything turned out, and it was actually edible!!! Along with a turkey, I made sweet potatoes(Paul's favorite) mashed potatoes, gravy, green been casserole, Grandma's famous noodles (a thanksgiving tradition in my family) and 2 pies. I was going to make cranberry sauce but the grocery store was out of fresh cranberries so we had to settle for canned. I also made a spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer. We had plenty of leftovers to last us the next few weeks =) We had fun spending time as a family, relaxing together, and enjoying the wonderful blessings God has put in our lives.

I made a traditional pumpkin and a turtle pumpkin pie. I figured a pie for each of us =)

6 months!
Micah is now 6 months old and half way through his first year of life! I just discovered his first tooth last week which explains the constant drooling. He is such a happy baby and is always giving me big smiles. I can't believe 6 months has already gone by! Before I know it he will be walking and talking! Is there a way to slow down time? =)
